    III All-Russia Conference on Linguistics and Foreign Language Teaching «Language, Identity, Interaction: View of Young Researchers»

    This two-day conference is designed to give linguistic undergraduates as well as graduates from different research areas an opportunity to present and discuss results of their research. The event will bring together young researchers concerned with theoretical or applied linguistics as well as foreign/second language acquisition and instruction.

    The key research areas of the conference:

    • Language pragmatics and semantics;
    • Concepts and constants in language and literature;
    • Cross-cultural communication and problems of  translation theory and cultural studies;
    • Socio-cultural aspects of language research  and language education;
    • Person-oriented techniques and IT technologies in enhancing the communicative competence;
    • Psychological aspects of foreign language acquisition process;
    • Innovative approaches to developing  the intercultural communicative competence.

    The languages of the conference: Russian, English, German.

    Participation through papers submission is welcome and supposes publication of papers if they meet all listed requirements (see below).

    Submission Guidelines for Papers

    Papers may not exceed 3 pages, including data, references and diagrams and should be submitted via e-mail as attachments (Microsoft Word/Rich Text Format files). Papers should be typed in MS Word 6.0, 7.0; 14-point font, with 0.8-inch margins, 1.5 line spacing. Papers may be presented in Russian, English or German.

    Your papers should include:

    1. In the upper right corner: the name of the author and his affiliation (name of university, city, country) given both in the language of presentation and English (or just in English if the papers are in English) – typed in bold capital type.
    2. Below: the title of the paper given both in the language of presentation and English (or just in English if the papers are in English) – typed in bold capital type.
    3. Below in a line space: the text
    4. Below the text: references numbered and listed in the alphabetical order.

    Sample reference: 3. Smith, Karl A. Cooperative Learning: Making Groupwork Work. Using Active Learning in College Classes [Text] / Karl A. Smith // New Directions for Teaching and Learning, no. 67. – San Francisco: Jossey-Bass. 1996. – P. 71-82.

    Submission deadline
    Submission deadline is 14 February 2012.

    Registration
    Registration is via e-mail message to kaf_angl@vshu.kirov.ru

    The body of the e-mail message should contain:

    1. The name of the author.
    2. The name of the research supervisor and his affiliation (degree, position, name of university, city, country).
    3. The author’s affiliation (name of university, city, country)
    4. The author’s e-mail address and contact details: postal address, telephone number.
    5. The research area (chosen from the list above).
    6. The title of your presentation / papers.
    7. Equipment required (if any)
    8. Form of participation (participation through paper submission / paper presentation) , accommodation required (if any)
    9. Check payment or postal money order or scanned image of the deposit slip

    Registration fee 400 RUR
    The registration fee covers paper publication and conference fee.
